How it all started
Anthony Velez, the founder of myConnect, has always had a deep passion for real estate. Early on, his successful investments allowed him to retire from his career as an Aerospace Engineer, but the desire to build something bigger led him to quit his job and dive into commercial real estate full-time. Though he had a clear vision and had already proven himself to be a highly skilled investor, he lacked an understanding of the industry's inner workings. Determined to bridge that gap, Anthony took 45 days to earn his licenses as a commercial real estate agent and NMLS licensed mortgage broker and immediately started working both sides of the business. Drawing on his engineering background and newfound insider knowledge, he set out to create what is now the most powerful listing service in real estate.
